At 7 a.m., Severe Tropical Storm Neoguri was estimated to be about 360 kilometres southwest of Hong Kong (near 20.2 degrees north 111.5 degrees east) and is forecast to move north at about 14 kilometres per hour towards western Guangdong.
Neoguri is expected to weaken further. On its present track, Neoguri will edge closer to Hong Kong and strong winds will continue to affect the territory for most of today.
